Hi, Gary,
Great to hear from you. I appreciate your interest in hearing more about positivity. I will be writing more about it soon. Negative thinking and pessimism decrease our life span by up to 8 years, promote poor health, and interferes with our ability to experience joy.

Optimism can actually be exercised like a muscle. The more you practice gratitude, for example, the more fulfilling your life can be. Sharing your joys with others and social interaction also offer a positive one-two punch of happiness. Try not to react to life negatively. Ask yourself, “What can I learn here? What is my opportunity for growth? Is there another perspective I can focus on?”

Let’s say you had frequent cravings. You know that the average food craving lasts about 5-7 minutes. What if you took this as a challenge, found something else to do, and then praised yourself? If you ate anyway, how would it be if you loved yourself and made a decision to get help?

That’s what a life coach is for! To help you be accountable to yourself. You are creative, resource and whole. You have within you strengths that you may not recognize. You are always way more than enough to live a great life. Hope this is helpful, Gary.

Listen to Coach Rachelle Lee’s radio show on Monday, June 29th at 5 p.m. EST when I will speak on this very topic: “Positive Psychology: Your GPS to Happiness Success!” Hope you will join us for interactive fun.
